Science Slam
On the occasion of KIT's 200th anniversary, scientists will give a short, vivid and captivating presentation on how research is changing the future. They only have 10 minutes to convince the audience with their slam, whereby the use of creative means such as performances, visualizations or live experiments is expressly encouraged. Futurologist Johannes Kleske explains why good ideas for a better future so often fail and points out alternative paths.
Kathrin Viergutz finds answers to the question of whether we will soon be traveling in autonomous shuttles instead of buses, while Andreas Schäfer takes a closer look at climate change. Last but not least, Hannah Meyer takes the audience to the desert and explores the question of how Saharan dust affects our environment before the audience chooses the winner of the evening.
The Science Slam is a project of the Science Office of the Economic Development Agency of the City of Karlsruhe, KIT, TRIANGEL Transfer | Kultur | Raum.
