PROGRAMM Korngold: Kings Row Suite  Navarro: Il Concerto (Solo-Klarinette: Prof. Julius Sebastian Kircher) Holst: Die Planeten   Dirigent: Tobias Drewelius   Erich Wolfgang Korngold, bekannt für seine Filmmusik, entführt uns mit der “Kings Row Suite” in die goldenen Zeiten Hollywoods. Die Musik ist voller Dramatik, Emotionen und epischer Klänge – ein wahres Meisterwerk, das als ein wesentlicher Impulsgeber für die Musik von John Williams für Star Wars gilt.    Der zeitgenössische spanische Komponist Oscar Navarro verwendet in seinem “Il Concerto” für Solo-Klarinette und großes Sinfonieorchester eine Tonsprache mit vielen Farben und einer sehr reichen Orchestrierung. Das Werk schöpft die technischen Möglichkeiten der Klarinette voll aus und verwendet u.a. Elemente der typischen Flamenco-Musik der spanischen Folklore.   Gustav Holsts weltberühmte und beliebte Suite "The Planets" gehört zu den wenigen Kompositionen, die von der Astrologie beeinflusst sind. Die siebenteilige Suite stellt ein Meisterwerk der Programmmusik an der Schwelle von der ausgehenden Romantik zur Moderne dar und hat zahlreiche Werke der Unterhaltungsindustrie beeinflusst.   Im Sinfonieorchester des KIT musizieren über 100 Studierende und Berufstätige aus den unterschiedlichsten Fachrichtungen. In den Konzerten hören Sie Werke aus Klassik, Romantik und Moderne; oft in Zusammenarbeit mit international bekannten SolistInnen oder mit vielversprechenden jungen KünstlerInnen aus der Region Karlsruhe.
